Challenge

Operators at a consumer payments company needed quick answers from their reporting tool without waiting on an analyst for every question.

What we built

• A Slack command that searches existing dashboards before building anything new
• New charts only after a person confirms them
• A path that opens a code change when the data for an answer is missing
• A separate demo environment for the team to test in

Result

• Live and in use by the company's data team within 9 days, tested on real questions like weekly signups, daily disputes, and daily transaction volume
